Pantheistic philosophies draw (sometimes rough) equivalencies between god(s) and reality itself. That is, the universe is god or a manifestation of god, rather than a creation apart from god.
Sometimes things like the Gaia theory, contending that all life on Earth is one big life, get described as "pantheist", which is not strictly correct. The "pan" in pantheism means literally everything, not just life on Earth. Animism also gets conflated with pantheism, which is even less correct.
