USA antitrust legislation enacted 1890, outlawing “every contract, combination, or conspiracy in restraint of trade” and any “monopolization, attempted monopolization, or conspiracy or combination to monopolize.”
Long history of contentious litigation, to this day somewhat difficult to interpret and apply. Courts have decided that only unreasonable restraints of trade are prohibited, so good luck with that.
